Product brief:

The FMC-GE-MMSM converter supports long wave 100Base-LX and short wave 100Base-SX fiber network convert. This media converter can be installed as a standalone unit or as a slide-in module to the 19" converter rack for use at a central wiring closet.

Purchasing guide for 100M/1000M optical transceivers

1.Fiber interface

SC fiber interface is of duplex mode type, including two interfaces, namely TX and RX. When the two sets of optical transceiver are interfaced or connected to switchboard with fiber interface, the fiber is in cross connection, namely "TX-RX" "RX-TX".

2. Connection

The network device (work station, hub or switch) with The multi-mode (single mode) fiber is connected to SC/ST fiber interface of optical transceiver. Then switch on. The corresponding LED is on for correct connection. (See the table below for the LED indicator) 

LED indicator indicates the working status of the transceiver for device monitoring and trouble display. The following is the explanation for each LED indicator.
